The Celebration of a Life:
Maurice Gibb

" Yesterday was history.
Who knows what there is gonna be
when we meet again.
Will you smile and tell the world about me?
Can there be no doubt about me,
I was your friend. "

(Bee Gees. "Sea of Smiling Faces ". To Whom It May Concern. Polydor. 1972.)

It has been four years since the world has lost one of the greatest musicians who ever lived. I am grateful for the years he was here, for the contributions that still fill every day with melodies and joy.

The music from his soul has touched every aspect of our lives. There is a special song, born from the depth of his soul, for each monumental step of our lives. His gifts to us have helped us through the saddest of times and have also helped us to celebrate our most joyous of times. Now we celebrate his life

The music that sprung from his heart will live forever, survive the passage of time. And each time we hear these precious gifts sung by his magical voice, we will cherish, once again, his mischievous and joyful smile, that sparkle in his eyes, and his infectious laughter.
And I will tell the world about you
...and remember with joy!

I'll keep remembering all my life.
Bee Gees. "Remembering". Trafalgar. Polydor. 1971.

I would like to extend my very sincere sympathy and prayers to Maurice's wife, his mother, his children and, of course to his wonderful brothers, Barry and Robin. Your loss is unimaginable. I share your pain. You are in my prayers and in my heart.

Just a belated message from an Aussie fan of the Bee Gees and the wonderful contribution of Maurice Gibb to the rest of us who are left behind who still enjoy his legacy of music and voice! We have lost some very talented people over the years and I still remember vividly the morning of August 16 1977 when my then wife came to wake me as I had been on night shift about the news of Elvis having passed away(I thought she was joking) Elvis dead at 42,no way! Maurice Gibb dead at 53,no way! Andy Gibb dead at 30,no way! But sadly all were true and just as sad is our lives feel a little less knowing these wonderful and talented people are no more.Another tragic event that comes to mind is the assasination of John Lennon in 1980 by a dropkick with a gun and obviously no common sense! I just wanted the rest of the world to know that Australia loved the Bee Gees and they are sorely missed from Downunder. Our love goes out to them and to Maurice's family and Barry and Robin's as well! I hope you post this belated message on your website 4 the rest of the world to read! By the way I'm a 54 year old fan and have been since I first heard Spicks and Specks in the 1960's. Love to all the Gibb family from Oz! Maurice you are sorely missed young man!
Kindest Regards,

I have loved the BeeGees since I can remember. I do hope Robin and Barry will consider writing and performing in the future, as they have such a wonderful talent. Maurice is greatly missed, but I know the BeeGees music will live on, as it does in my heart.
Sincerely,
Marcia St.John

I would like to give the Gibb family my symathy by saying that with time your wounds will begin to heal from your loss. I know it has been three years now, my dad passed away also in 2003 and to this day it still hurt when I think of my dad. You only get one chance to live life, so go live it to the fullest! And remember that god and the fans love you and your family!

Everytime I watch their One Night Only Concer I can't stop thinking . . . what happen now to the Bee Gees now Mr. Maurice Gibbs has passed away? I hope that Barry & Robin will continue composing songs so that we may continue to hear the real music, the style of Bee Gees. Barry & Robin always take care of yourself, The Spirit of Maurice will always in my heart. I hope that the kids of Barry, Maurice & Robin put their own group just like their Dad. And rest assure that we will support you as we supported and loved the Bee Gees. May the Lord God protect the Gibb Clan in all kinds of troubles, harm, sickness and any aridities in life. Bee Gees fans put some Grease so that were Staying Alive no matter How Deep is Your Love or How Can you Mend This Broken Heart and when you decided to go back in Masachusete dont forget to to ask what the status of New York Mine Disaster because Too Much in Heaven soul that came from. You're website is great - I knew Bee Gees fans all over the world woke up this morning - shocked to hear the news!! My heart and prayers go out to Maurice's family, wife and kids, expecially Barry and Robin. I can only find condolence in the fact that I was able to see them in 1979 in Chicago and again in 1989 at the Love & Hope. All the Gibbs were cordial but Maurice....he appeared to be genuinely appreciative that all the fans were there. He was talking and joking as if everyone had been old friends for years. He was alwyas my favorite - thanks to his sense of humor and love for life. Although there were no family ties - my heart is heavy and saddened, for myself but more so for his family. No matter how high they ranked in the celebrity poll - they never forgot their roots, their family!!!!! I respect him for that.
Thank you again (so much ) for the website
Kathy

Your page is such a sweet, touching tribute to Maurice, and I know he'd be pleased. I didn't really know of Maurice until 1997, when I heard "Alone" for the first time, as a single mom-to-be. I was so emotionally distraught at the time, and the only thing that brought me any joy was the sound of those beautiful harmonies of the Gibb Brothers. I absolutely fell in love with Maurice, as apparently so many women have. Though he was 22 years my senior, I thought he was the epitomy of the perfect man, flaws and all. I was in absolute envy of his wife! 'My kingdon for ten minutes with Maurice...'. I learned of his passing from my mom, who saw it on CNN. She said that 'someone I really liked had died' and in my heart I knew it was Maurice. My friends immediately called to make sure I was ok, knowing full well how much I loved Maurice. I spent the next two weeks scanning the news for any mention of him, with my tissues in hand. My heart goes out to his family, especially his wife and children, whose sorrow I can only sympathize with and share, but not imagine. And for Mrs. Gibb, to lose two sons so young must be a mother's worst nightmare. I send my love to the entire family. I hope this world will remember Maurice for what he truly was, an imperfect man with a perfect heart. What I wouldn't give to see that smile just once more!

FOR YEARS, I HAVE CARRIED A DISTINCT FONDNESS IN THE MUSIC OF THE BEE GEES AND THE LOVE WITH WHICH THEY PERFORMED. I, SINCERELLY, WILL MISS ANDY AND MAURICE'S CONTRIBUTION TO MY LIFE.

I was in shock the morning I learned of Maurice's passing. To his family, friends and all the other fans out there, I have been a big fan of the Bee Gees and I know we will all miss the music, smiles and love he put into every song, concert and public appearance. May God watch over Maurice's family. Because Maurice will himself, always be there in spirit. I will miss The BEE GEES aka: The Brothers Gibb. The sound they had and contribution to music was truely unique. I was 10 years old and started listening to them back when Saturday Night Fever came out. Ever since I could never get tired of their music.
Again, may GOD Bless Maurice and the rest of his family.
Sincerely,

It is with sadness that I send my condolences to the entire family. It is very hard to lose someone so close, it is like a part of you is missing. I have felt this pain in the last year with the loss of my baby sister, she was only 34 and I am raising her three children. Maurice's music and spirit will live on even though he is not here in body. God gave him a beautiful gift, his voice, like an angel. Now he is a guardian angel watching over his loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with you , remember the memories they are in your heart and no one can take that away.
All my Love,

I was devastated to hear tonight about the death of one of my all time favorite singers, musicians, and songwrites Maurice Gibb. The only good thing is that he will be with Andy but he is going to be missed by all of us who loved the Bee Gees. I remember when my kids were little that they didn't think the Bee Gees were any good until they were on Sesame Street and then they hit the big time as far as they were concerned. They have given me so much joy and helped me through the bad times in my life that I can't imagine Maurice being here. He was so talented. My heart aches for his family and loved ones. My grandmother said after her daughter died that a mother should never outlive her child that there is nothing more painful and I am sure that is right. I feel so badly for his mother. A loyal fan

It came as a great shock to me learning the loss of Maurice Gibb. I knew he was hospitalized several days ago. Just earlier tonight my sons, six and three, were singing 1941 New York Mining Disaster and I've Gotta Get A Message To You on our way home from dinner. Looking back there is so much he and his brothers had contributed to the music world. I never got tired of listening to the Bee Gees. My deepest condolence goes out to his mom, wife, children and his brothers. He will be deeply missed by all of us.

I was shocked and upset by the news that Maurice Gibb had died. I have been a Bee Gee's fan since I was very young. When I heard of his death, I stopped in disbelief. A man from a family that felt like part of our own. He was there in Junior High School, during football practice, a radio in the stands broadcast the Bee Gees to all the football players, as a pleasant distraction. He was there on Saturday nights, as we cruised with our friends. He was at the movies, singing about everything that was on the minds of teenagers...Love. He was at our High School dances, as our hearts were getting broken for the very first time. And as we got older he and his brothers were still there, to help us get through the good and the tough times with new families of our own. To Maurice's family and friends, we will miss he much, and hope you know just how much he was (and is) loved.

turned on the tv to watch Larry King - I didn't move from my chair for the next hour.Just recently my husband and I enjoyed one of your specials. We continued watching the interview with Larry and found the Bee Gees CD and played Islands in the Stream and other favorites VERY LOUD. Helped take the sadness away for a fleeting moment. Thanks for bringing such joy into our lives with your wonderful music.

Maurice is gone, but the music lives on forever. I feel as if I have been a Bee Gees fan almost all of my life, and there is not one year gone by, that I do not have one Bee Gees song to relate to. Mauric, we will miss you! What an undeniably, gifted soul you were. Now, you will entertain the Angels in Heaven. My prayers to all in the Gibb family. Take comfort in the fact that this gentle soul is now making the most important music of his career.

I just found out about his passing less than an hour ago, and I am very sad to hear this. I also just realized something: I have never seen the Bee Gees live in concert, and now I never will. I was only 12 when they went on the Spirits tour in 1979, and they weren't playing in Boston, only in Providence, and I couldn't get tickets. I was just a kid and I guess not a very resourceful one. But I could cry, and did I ever. Then, in 97 when it was rumored that the brothers would mount a mini-tour of sorts, I thought that was my chance, but they only did the Vegas show and that was out of the question for me, unfortunately. I guess I always thought there'd be another chance for me to get to see them, but now there never will. My thoughts are with Maurice's family during this sad time.
Missy

I want to extend to you my accolades on the wonderful website you have created of Maurice Gibb. I just wrote a condolence note and was wondering if you could include it on your page. I've been a fan, as I said in my prior E-mail for over 20 years of the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb and an DEEPLY saddened by Maurice's passing today.
Sincerely, and thanks,

I am just lost at the news of the world losing some like Maurice Gibb. It is going to be hard not to be listening to the Bee Gees music any more knowing that another of our great legendary music groups has lost a member. The Bee Gees have had their share of heartache from the loss of Andy and now Maurice. My prayers our with Robin and Barry and their family. It just won't be the same without the Bee Gees. Sincerely,

Thank you so much for your tribute site to Maurice. I am very saddened by his passing. It feels so unreal. But, reading the comments that other people have written, it's great comfort to know that many people feel the same way about Maurice, his music and his family as I do. The Bee Gees have always been a big part of my life, and Maurice was always my "favorite Bee Gee". I will cry when I play my Bee Gee music because I will miss Maurice. I will also smile because their music has brought me much happiness in my life, and I will find comfort in knowing that he is hanging in heaven with his brother Andy and his father, Hugh. My thoughts and prayers are with the Gibb family.

can't stop crying because of the sadness I feel for his family and the great loss of his beautiful voice. When I heard of his illness on Friday, I felt a sense of dread as I had just recovered from an intestinal infection accompanied by very high blood pressure so I knew it probably was very serious. This morning I attended Mass specifically to pray for certain people and give thanks for my new job. Maurice was in my prayers and I so hoped he would recover. I love the Bee Gees and especially loved their live concert on TV recently. Maurice looked so good!!! I'm 56 and continue to love the music he loved to sing. My prayers to all who are mourning his loss. Sincerely,

I thought that I would tell you that I was sad to hear about the lovable Maurice Gibb. He always managed to make me smile with his pranks, and being silly. I did not cry all day until tonight. I have been sitting here in front of my computer listening to Omega man and the Still Waters CD. The Dam finally busted... I am very sad that he has gone... I know what the entire Gibb family has gone through... My dad suffered a heart attack and is now happy and healthy after his multiple bypass... I don't take life for granted anymore... I think that Maurice would want you to continue on making music or writing for other people. We will all mss him and I would hug all the Gibb family if I could... He had one hell of a voice too and it will never be silenced as long as there is family and the fans to keep the music and spirit of Maurice alive... We love you Barbara Gibb and family... Hugs go out to all of you...My heart weeps for all of you... May God watch over the entire Gibb family...

It looks as though the good do die young. Some of the most memorable music will endure long after all of us are gone. Maurice was so loveable and funny. It will not be the same... Its hard to listen to my Cd's and realize you are gone............ Bee Gees were and are great, they are more then Disco to me.. music about love, feelings etc. Saturday Night fever was not all they did!! I loved them before that, they were a big part of my music world in the 70's and 80's......... I enjoyed to see them on Larry King last year and Live by Reguest. Maurice was very light hearted........... My heart goes out to Barry and Robin. May God help this family in their loss and pain.

I was heartbroken to hear my childhood idol, Maurice Gibb had passed on. He has brought joy to me and millions of others with his and his brothers music and has also brought hope to recovering alchoholics like myself. Our loss is Andy's gain. All my love and prayers to his mom, wife and all the Gibb family.

Just as millions are today, I am very saddened by the news. He was one of the nicest celebrities in town! I would see him occasionally on my way home from work and he would always have a smile on his face and the hat on his head. I grew up with the Bee Gee's, loving their music, their personalities, and seeing them around. I am grateful for the time we had him with us, but it was way too soon to loose him. Thank God the music will keep him close. My condolences to the whole family.

His & memories will remain in my or OUR hearts, Mo, now that your in the hands of our Lord, an everlasting happiness will be yours, my condolence to his Family.

~THE MUSIC DOESN'T STOP EVEN WHEN YOU ARE GONE ~

You have filled the world with many emotions, with all of the different tunes which you made. I feel a touch of sadness within my heart today, for you have gone away from us, and the tunes will be forever laid.

Every time I hear a song from which you and your brothers had developed, the years from way back when, seeing how I get so entwined so tightly in your sunny songs of the seventies, packing down such an inpact on many lives today we shall seal the memories shut tight, and bury that heartfilled envelope.

The final song which was made in memory to your young brother Andy was so perfect and fitting for him, as he now comes to meet with you Maurice, at that pearly gate in the brightly lit sky. There will be many there to meet you and as one song which you had made many years ago, you have also become one of those flowering souls singing many of your tunes up here in Heaven and being one of many who like you are Spirits Have flown. You are free to fly.

You among others have the great ability now to start such a great band up above, making brand new songs for all of us below to be filled with love.

The Music will never stop, even when you are gone from us and the pain, though it may be hard to get over for a long while, the songs which had been made by you so long ago... will always be remembered with such style.

I,too,am not only a BeeGee fan but a fan of Maurice as well. Together they were an incredible unit of music. I grew up with them as you probably did. I am very sad today as are all of us fans. Thank you for that beautiful tribute. God Bless you and The BeeGees' families.

I was devastated, shocked, and deeply saddened to learn of Maurice's death today. I, too, and 53 years old and the Bee Gees music has been a part of my life since their first record was released. My sympathy and prayers go to his his wife, Yvonne, and children, to his twin brother Robin, brother Barry, his mother, sister, and all of the other Gibb family members who were fortunate enough to have known this wonderful family man intimately for so many years. The musical talent of Maurice, Robin, and Barry has celebrated me through the good times in my life and has lifted me in the bad times. No one could have left a finer legacy to his family and fans than Maurice has. All of us who believe in God know that He calls the good men home early, just as He did Andy. We are all saddened from his loss from this earth; but we are comforted in the assurance that he, his beautiful smile and wonderful music will live forever in a place more beautiful than any of us can imagine. I will never forget you for the influence you had on my life.

With a great sadness I learnt of Maurice's passing this morning. I am in shock. Music has truly lost one of it's shining stars and Maurice will be sadly missed but greatly remembered through the music that he, Robin and Barry gave us. My thoughts are with Maurice's family and friends and especially his brothers Robin and Barry.

After hearing good reports on Friday about his emergency surgery, I was so surprised to hear of his dying this morning. Maurice always seemed to have such energy and enthusiasm for life, it just doesn't seem possible that he's gone. I was lucky enough to see them in concert many years ago, they remain my favorite group of singers. Such harmony and sound. My condolences to his wife and children, mother and brothers. Keep your memories in your heart for he was a wonder!

I just downloaded Maurice's song "This is where I came in" Friday night. I am truly shocked to hear this untimely news. His songs, as well as the Bee Gees have been a great comfort to me, a single mother of two, for 30 years. My prayers are with the family.I will pass on Maurice's gift to my two children. He will be missed. .

Thank you for this beautiful memorial site to Maurice Gibb. Growing up in the 1970's, I enjoyed the Bee Gees incredible harmonies, even today those harmonies still touch my heart. Your website was the first I chanced upon as I search frantically for information about Maurice that would somehow answer the questions raging through my mind since I read of his death. My heart goes out to his family, especially his twin, Robin. I lost my twin sister a few years ago, so I know the void that he must be feeling right now. My sister and I were avid Bee Gees fans. Wonder if she has met him yet? Thank you so much for designing this tribute to Maurice. It has been helpful to read comments from others who share in this all too soon loss of a great voice and a beautiful face. It's small consolation, but at least I have a copy of every song he has ever recorded with his brothers to keep my wonderful memories of him alive. Thanks again for your creativity in honouring his memory.

I am writing to thank you for having your tributes page up on the net. It was comforting to be able to read about the love people all around the world felt for Maurice Gibb. Your portrait of Maurice is truly lovely and touched me, also. I was devastated when I heard this morning that Maurice had died. I felt in shock at the news. To have lost this amazingly talented man has produced an emotion that is so strong within me, it's palpable. I have been playing BeeGees music all day long and have been feeling great sorrow at the untimely death of this musical icon. The BeeGees have provided me with comfort and joy and love every time I've listed to their music. I have been a proud BeeGees fan ever since I can remember - from my youth in the 70s and 80s to enjoying them proudly as a young adult during their "comeback" of the 90s and the new millenium. I was so proud of them when they were initiated into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. "Long overdue!" was my thought! I offer my sincere condolences to his family during their time of grief. I hope they are comforted by the knowledge that Andy is in Heaven and is with his brother now. My love and sympathies to the Brothers Gibb and to their family. Con te partiro, Maurice. Rest in Peace. An Irish Blessing for Maurice Gibb... May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face May the rains fall soft upon your fields And until we meet again May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

My first concert was a Bee Gees concert. I was 12 years old and I loved them. I loved Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts club band movie. Maurice was my favorite because of his Humor and Joy with what he was doing. I thought I was sad when Andy died, but today is worse. God Bless the Gibb family and may the many accolades of the fans help ease the pain of your loss.

As someone who lost a brother much too early in their life, my condolences to the Gibb brothers on their loss. It is one that is unimaginable until you go through it yourself. For now, the grief is so great that you never think you'll get through it but, as time goes by, the very things that hurt when you think of them now will later bring you a feeling of closeness and peace in your heart. We were blessed to have him in our lives through his music. You were blessed moreso to have been his brother in blood. Our sympathies to you, his wife and children. May our Lord give you His comfort and peace in the days to come.

Dear Maurice Gibb,
We want to thank you for all the memories down here on Earth. Thank you for all that you and brothers did for the world of disco and pop artists. You were my favorite Bee Gee and always it will serve me great pleasure to thank you for the beautiful and feel good music that you played and sung. Thanks to the smallest (in heigth), but second oldest from his brother Barry Gibb. Maurice thanks for helping making it possible for classic rock or disco era possible to live.Your tunes in our heads will always be (may you call it) "Staying Alive." Just wanted to let you all know how widespread the BeeGees music is. I always enjoyed them, but today when my 85 year old mother heard Maurice died she was rather upset and said how much she always enjoyed them and tried to watch when they were on tv. So, God bless his family. Rest in peace, great singer.

Thank you for this wonderful site. I had tuned in to two oldies stations and neither one did a tribute or even mentioned his death when I was listening, I had to hear about it from news station. To the Gibb family,
Words fail me. I've been a fan since childhood and I'm in my early 40s now. Your music touched me in a very special way and helped me through some troubled years. Your generosity and compassion toward others has always shone through. Although I know none of you personally, I take this loss with great sorrow and will keep you all in my prayers. John Steinbeck once wrote about the aspiration to be the kind of man who, by his life and deeds and works towards others, his loss brings only sorrow and not gratitude. Maurice's passing has brought sorrow to many. I am so very sorry.

I was shocked upon reading the front page of our Sunday paper that Maurice was dead! I know that in this life people come and they go. But we should all aspire to have lived a life that touched so many other lives. World wide with words put to music he touched and forever marked our lives and hearts. What a great gift to have shared with us all over the decades! I thank you for many memories and for an all to short time, a insight into your heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Thank you again.

1974 and I heard "Mr Natural", ironically quite an apt description of Maurice. My formative years were spent listening to the music of the Bee Gees and I still do, almost thirty years later. The memories of my children singing along with me in the car from the earliest they could speak are as cherished as they were delightful. Vale Maurice! To Yvonne and children and to the Gibb family at large, sincere condolences on your tragic loss. The world has indeed lost someone quite special.

I am so sad, as is every Bee Gees fan. I will always remember Maurice with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. He always seemed to have fun with what he was doing, which was entertaining us. It is just not going to seem the same without him. My thoughts and deepest sympathy to his wife and children, mother, Barry and Robin. Fond memories last forever.

Maurice was reported on our local news station this morning as the "quiet one on the band" but that to me is further from the truth. I remember him as the witty and extremely talented Bee Gee brother who was the backbone and support to the the group. I loved him for his honesty and warmth in interviews. Although I never met him, I feel as though he was part of life from my early teens - You will be missed Maurice....... My heartfelt wishes to Yvonne and the children.

woke up last night at about 2:30 Eastern time and could not get Mo off of my mind. I went downstairs to the computer and was hunting for little snippets of their wonderful music to try to soothe my fears. For two hours I sat here, reading and listening to what I could find. It was so enjoyable reliving the music and thinking of how much happiness Mo, Barry, Robin and Andy brought to my life, especially in my teen years in the 70s. I prayed for him and thanked God for bringing him through the surgery. Then this morning I saw the news and felt that even though my prayers were unanswered, God must have a plan for this wonderful man to take him from us so suddenly. My prayers are now with his immediate family and his brothers, that they can get through this difficult and shocking turn of events. Mo, may you be in peace now, with God, and with Andy. You’ve been our angel for so many years…now you will be God’s angel. Love you.

Thank you Maurice and your brothers for being a part of my life with your beautiful voices (and handsomness). You've given so much to the world. Losing and being without Maurice is Like:
*A beautiful song without words; *Song Lyrics without music; *A tree without ground to be nourished from; *The earth without a sky; *Musical instruments without musicians; *A poet without a poem; *A road leading to nowhere; *A skyscraper without floors; *Loneliness without companionship; *A man without a woman and a woman without a man; *A couple without each other; *The ocean without water; *A ship without an ocean; *A Sailor without a ship; *A Sailboat without sails; *Love with no one to express it; *A radio without stations; *and finally, Man without God. All of these exhibit loneliness, emptiness, sorrow, the very things we all feel with the loss of Maurice Gibb. He will be sorely missed. Though that notorious, harmonic voice of the Bee Gees has been forever silenced, Him, and his voice, are still in our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits, so in all acuality he still lives in each and everyone of us. Whenever we hear a Bee Gees Song, or whenever our minds drift into a Bee Gees song, Maurice will live. My sincere sympathy and condolences to Barry and Robin, the remaining Brothers, and the entire Gibb family. I hope they (the Bee Gees) sail on and continue on....I feel that Maurice would have wanted it that way. My prayers are with the Gibb family. Forever on Bee Gees!

Sandra, I am beside myself at the news. I've been searching all day for answers. I had the pleasure of meeting Maurice backstage at a concert and he could not have been sweeter. He signed the back of my program and posed for pictures. I've loved the BeeGees since I was 9 years old in 1976. It was Children of the World that got me hooked! Words cannot express our loss. I'm listening this evening to all the tributes here in Boston on the radio. Have you heard of any type of memorial in Miami? I would love to go. There's nothing yet on Miami Herald or AP. Any info would be appreciated. I'm remembering and listening to the wonderful music he left us and that's helping my sadness. I hope you find too find solace in his words, music and voice.

Your website is very moving and I would like to add my feelings of sadness and shock at the passing of a talented musician. Together with his brothers, he has brought pleasure to millions the world over and personally to me since the Bee Gees first came onto the music scene so long ago. My thoughts are with Maurice's wife, children, brothers and especially his mother who has already lost one son. My mother lost a son during her lifetime and I know what a shattering experience it is. Maurice's passing will leave an enormous gap in the lives of his loved ones as it will in the music industry. I am just SO glad my daughter and I were able to attend the Bee Gees' concert here in Auckland, New Zealand on 20th March 1999 during their last visit here. May Maurice rest in peace.

I first saw the Beegees live at St John's arena At Ohio State U in 1971 after I had become their devoted fan with the Odessa album of 1969. They had a great backup band of well desssed long hairs and I have always wanted to see them live again. Their concerts have become few and far between in the later years........but I hoped. Now the tragedy .........How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.........Once There was a Way to Get Back Homeward.
